The label launched in October 2004 with %26apos;Moodswings The Vinyl Collection%26apos; a special four volume 12%26quot; EP project which saw the release of tracks %26amp; new remixes from the (previously cd only) Moodswings album released on Bar De Lune.
Summer 2005 saw the label raise the bar with the launch of the %26apos;Vibes%26apos; series of quality compilations, exploring the influence of various musical genres from the past on contemporary productions. Each volume featuring a strong genre driven identity creating an evolving collection of outstanding music. Themes so far have included Latin Vibes %26amp; Jazz Vibes with Disco Vibes coming soon.
The Mettle Music team believe wholeheartedly in bringing deserving, quality music to a wider audience. To this end the albums are thoroughly researched to include only music of the highest calibre combining a mixture of obscure classics along with many new and exclusive tracks.
Each theme also includes a series of vinyl %26amp; digital releases to accompany the albums. The debut compilation - %26apos;Latin Vibes: Lounge Selection%26apos; was released in July 2005, followed by %26apos;Latin Vibes: Club Selection%26apos; in November 2005 %26amp; the latest release %26apos;Jazz Vibes: Lounge Selection%26apos; was released June 2006.
The label continues to grow from strength to strength with the fifth album %26apos;Disco Vibes%26apos; coming up very soon, not to mention nine 12%26quot; releases %26amp; over 25 Digital EP releases now racked up.
